Enhance match notifications with AI-generated commentary
Add fun and engagement to your club with AI-generated commentary! After each match, the AI creates personalized, entertaining messages based on the match context, player streaks, and historical rivalries.
How AI Commentary Works
After each match, the system:
- Gathers context: player stats, streaks, recent form, H2H history
- Sends data to Google Gemini AI (no personal identifiers)
- Generates personalized commentary based on match dynamics
- Includes the message in webhook notifications
The AI considers score margins, upset victories, hot streaks, and player rivalries.
Configuration
In club settings (Owner only):
- Enable AI Messages toggle
- Select your preferred language (10 supported)
- Choose a commentary style:
- Mild: Friendly and encouraging
- Spicy: Playful trash talk
- Professional: Sports analyst tone
- Save settings to apply to future matches
Supported Languages
AI commentary is available in:
- English, French, Spanish, German, Italian
- Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Danish
The AI generates messages in your selected language, matching the tone and style you've configured.
Safety & Performance
- Player names are injected after generation (prevents prompt injection)
- AI is instructed to be playful but never mean-spirited
- If AI fails, webhooks still send with standard messages
- Processing is async and doesn't delay match recording
AI features require the Starter plan or higher.
